Education And Academics

  • Nai Disha the learning center follows the NCERT syllabus
  • It is registered with NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) for basic education program.
  • Nai Disha conducts workshops for teachers and children to create connections between home, work, play, social and spiritual relations.
  • Emphasis is laid on doing things rather than merely reading and rote memorization.
  • We counsel the parents for their daughter’s education and self sustainability.
  • Nai Disha runs bridge courses for children especially for older girls.
  • Emphasis is on skill based learning along with academics for eg. Nai Disha has its own full fledged computer lab, children go for personal training in skating and tennis.
  • Activities and excursions are an integral part of imparting knowledge and skills.
  • Health and hygiene, community growth are key issues addressed.
  • We believe in Theatre in education that prepares students for life.

As an Incentive we identify 2 of the brightest students and give them scholarships, sponsored by Dr. Bhandari. the form of NSC's.The interest from the fund is given in the form of a saving certificate to the child. The child can encash it after completion of their education.

The selection is based on 10 points viz.

  • Punctuality- 1 point
  • Behavior- 1 point
  • Sports- 1 point
  • Extra Curricular- 1 point
  • Health & Hygiene- 1 point

Even the class teacher is honored for the same.

Future Plan/Vision

  • Taking the Nai Disha center upto Xth class.
  • Adding a vocational wing to impart skill based training which would lead to employment opportunities in the long run.
  • To streamline students into mainstream schools.
  • Creating a social awareness through the students among their peers and society for the need of education, health and hygiene.
  • To help as many underprivileged children as possible.
  • To run Remedial classes for students enrolled at Nai Disha and those in mainstream schools to decrease dropout rates.
