About Nai Disha

Nai Disha is a non-profit organization with a focus on community development through education. It emerged from a play school “ The Wonder Years” in the year 2000 as ‘DISHA’ with the basic social principle that- all children should have quality education and equal opportunities irrespective of their birth and social status.

The group was registered in 2005 as an NGO under the name of Nai Disha Educational and Cultural Society. Nai Disha is a Learning Centre with 250 children from economically weaker section of the society. Children are provided free books, stationary, two sets of summer and winter uniforms and a daily wholesome meal.

Our volunteers are committed to Nai Disha -- helping children with studies, theatre, art and craft, music and dance, computers, sports and story telling as well as helping Nai Disha society with its administration and accounts.

Everyone associated with Nai Disha believes that it is a learning experience for all - students, teachers and members. Nai Disha - The Learning Centre.

At the moment the school has total 8 classes- consisting of K.G. , 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ability section. Nai Disha follows the NCERT syllabus and is registered under NIOS.

Govt. certifications and permissions:

Donation made to the society are exempted u/s 80G of Income Tax Act vide certificate No. DIT(E)2008-09/N-946/2006/504Dt. 30-5-2008 from 1-04-2008 to 31-03-2011.

The society is registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 vide Reg. No. 231660968 and is authorized to accept foreign donations.
